1920s Lyon & Healy ‘Own Make’ Style A Mandolin

It has been pouring. With recent acquisition of the L&H Mandocello, the possibility of a full L&H set is within reach. So pouring over Reverb, this little nugget jumped out. And it was jumped upon!

Asymmetrical two point, short scale L&H Style A mandolin in excellent shape except for a replaced fingerboard with some custom inlays and a non-original bridge. A new bridge was made by Max Girouard and some minor touch up was done. At some point the back was off the instrument and the edges were not made completely true. Beautiful birdseye maple back. No cracks.

All that but it sings like only a Lyon & Healy can.

Modern cheap case.
