This was originally advertised as a Lyon & Healy manufactured mandolin — not an L&H brand but one that was constructed at their factory. That could have meant Washburn among others. Despite calling the seller on the lack of documentation/labelling (after I already had bought it, stupidly) there was no real resolution of the provenance. So I don’t feel comfortable calling it an L&H manufactured mandolin. I have seen several pictures of similar mandolins with the same case that are so advertised, but again, nothing is definite.
By the construction of the mandolin and the case, I am reasonably confident of the age. There are no physical issues with the instrument. It could definitely use a setup for sure. The sound is a bit thin and tinny. Case is positively a mess.
Of everything in the Home this the likeliest candidate for wall art.
