When I converted from guitar over to bass in my band Bean, I wanted to preserve the acoustic sound that the Guild B4 gave me but wanted a little more range and bottom, so I sought and bought this stunning LOOKING bass.
Featuring a quilted maple top, back and sides, it is to this day one of the most strikingly beautiful instruments I’d ever owned. But it did remind somewhat of the uber-fancy but poorly constructed asian instruments that have been popular as late. It did have a pickup and with some basic eq.
The acoustic sound was ok, the amplified sound was ok.
