Joachim Tielke-Laute

This odd duck was bought on a lark, with the maybe hope that it could be restored to something. It can be, but for more that we were willing to put into it.

This is a Joachim Tielke-Laute – a German made instrument from the 1920s-1930s made in the style of the Lautes produced by Joachim Thielke in the 1600s.

It will definitely need some neck work and have some cracks and rib seams repaired to make it truly playable. That and the decorative soundhole covering is broken and will need some attention.

Lovely though, as a wall hanging!

$25 or beer
