Bundy II Tenor Saxophone

Apart from the piano, the first instrument I ever took real lessons on was the alto saxophone.  I didn’t make a whole lot of progress and was usually last or next-to-last chair.  I did win the award of the ‘loudest player with the most freckles’, however, which is an honor even now, despite its obvious attempt at inclusivity.  At some point my Bundy alto was sold.

In 1991 I was subletting an apartment in Allston, Rock City, and the person who I was subletting from cut and ran — leaving virtually all his possessions — which included a Bundy II Tenor Saxophone and a bassoon.  In 1993, like a moron, I gave the bassoon to a guy that fronted a jazz combo I’d hired.

I kept the tenor though, and every once and a while it rears its head — comically as a prop in the Willing Suspension production of the Malcontent.  Now with the social media connectiveness of everything I have located the original owner and sort of offered it back to him, but I am lazy and don’t want to pay the shipping.

It’s a bit musty, and needs a good cleaning/repadding.  Also it is missing the high F key.  Probably want a new mouthpiece as well.  But if you just need to honk, it’s got you.
