As much as I loved the sounds of my Roland D-50, the one area it was lacking was a viable piano sound. The tech then was not so advanced as it is now, but even for then, the D-50 piano sounds were wholly artificial.
I was jamming with my friend Bill, and he had the answer to that prayer: XP-50. The piano sounds were exponentially better and it still maintained that Roland quality for general synth sounds and, especially, organ.
So after some looking around, I managed to pick one up and enjoyed it thoroughly while I had it.
