Ever since the first strum of a 1924 F4 with a Virzi I have been after that sound. It took a good long while and the sacrifice my beloved A4, but gold has been struck. There is always a premium put on Gibsons from the Loar era, but functionally and structurally this instrument is no different. Purchased from Tony Williamson over at Mandolin Central.
This instrument is as close to perfect that a 95 year old instrument will get. All original, except a refret at some point. It sounds like heaven, with all the projection and sustain that the Virzi offers.
