1922-1923 Vega ‘Little Wonder’ Mandolin Banjo

You want chop?! This tiny tank has more chop than ten mandolins all at once. Though play too hard and it may make you want to chop it up!

The Little Wonder is a standard open back mandolin banjo with maple rim and neck, and the head size is 10-1/16″.  It came to the home missing a fret and the metal “shoe” that keeps the dowel in place. Wizard Steve Morrill did the repairs, devising a temporary stabilizing mechanism for the dowel until an original can be found.

Last owner installed the head backwards, but it makes absolutely no difference! Otherwise this little pearl is in great shape. Age estimated from the Vega SN data on Mugwumps.

Number on the rim matches the number on the dowel. No case.
